The sun is the basis of all life in the infinite universe. Humans, animals, and plants all survive on the light and heat of the sun. One cannot imagine a world without the sun. China undertook extensive research years ago to generate solar energy on Earth. The Chinese Academy of Sciences has created an artificial sun called the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST). Its Tokomac reactor operates similar to the Sun.

The reactor emulates the process of energy production in the sun. The temperature of the sun is about five times higher than that of 1.5 billion degrees Celsius.
Said Gong Jianzu, a scientist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Plasma Physics. He revealed that it was the longest in the world in continuous high temperature plasma operations.

Previously in 2003 France Torre Supra Tokama produced a similar level of power for 390 seconds. Recently, China has surpassed that record. In May last year, Yeast burned for 101 seconds, releasing temperatures of 120 million degrees Celsius.

East intends to generate pure energy by mimicking the nuclear fusion process that takes place in the sun with the use of deuterium. This fusion energy device is housed at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Hefei, China. In the future, China aims to generate energy with its help and use it for domestic purposes.

It is part of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) program, first launched in 2006. It is well known that countries like India, South Korea, Japan, Russia and America are also partners in the ITER project.

For the past 70 years scientists have been trying to harness the nuclear fusion energy emitted when stars glow. By combining hydrogen atoms with high pressure and temperature, they can convert matter called stars into light and heat. They produce enormous amounts of energy without producing greenhouse gases or long-term radioactive waste. But repeating the conditions found in the stars is not a common thing.

Meanwhile, disagreements are being expressed over the Chinese experiment. It is suspected that there may be malice behind this. It is hoped that this energy will not be used for nuclear weapons. Analysts say that if China does so, it could pose a threat to countries like India and the United States.
